Brands ask people for a lot. Their attention. Their loyalty. Their advocacy. But what if a brand could give something back?
As Get Sh*t Done prepares to launch a new community platform, we created an identity that every member will have the chance to make their own. An AI-powered tool will turn their answers to a few questions into a personalised GSD asterisk, reflecting who they are.
The twist? AI draws exclusively from the identity we created for the brand, turning one creative vision into endless unique expressions.

Founded by Rebecca Rowntree in 2017, Get Sh*t Done has brought thousands of people together to turn ideas into action. Its events combine practical advice and real stories with live, collaborative problem-solving. Between events, members share opportunities, help each other and cheer each other on.
Generosity is what happens every day when people offer their time, skills, knowledge and connections to help someone else get sh*t done.
The new platform will bring that community together in one place. Our job was to give its next chapter an identity that could grow without losing the humanity that made it valuable.

Usually a censoring device, the asterisk in Get Sh*t Done became the heart of the identity.
It represents the messy middle of the creative process: the wrong turns, sticking points and moments when we need help to keep going. The place where people get stuck, step in for each other and find a way through.
We wanted that humanity to come through in the design. So we gave the asterisk all the energy, character and beautiful imperfections of something made by hand.

The typography gives the brand a clear, consistent structure. Hand-drawn asterisks bring personality, while scribbles break up the type with a playful, anti-corporate edge.
Distinctive asterisks give events, community and generosity initiatives their own character. An expansive palette puts sunshine yellow at its core, while sharp, unexpected motion meets the human touch of traditional animation.
The language is equally direct: plain-speaking, action-led and ready to get things moving. The new tagline, “Where someday becomes today”, captures what GSD helps people do: turn something they’ve been meaning to start into something happening now.

When members sign up to the new platform, their answers will shape a bespoke asterisk, playing with shapes, textures, colours and patterns within the brand system. Those answers will also help connect them to the skills, collaborators and support they need.
Everything the tool draws from was created specifically for GSD, from hand-drawn shapes to the palette and rules that define the system. Human craft sets the rules; AI makes personalisation possible at scale.
Members will also be able to put their asterisks on personalised stickers, T-shirts, tote bags and more, expressing their individuality while showing they’re part of something bigger.

For years, brand consistency has been about keeping everything tightly controlled. We wanted to flip that thinking on its head.
Get Sh*t Done is built on people bringing different things to the table. Its new identity gives those differences room to show, with a shared visual DNA that holds them together.
As the community grows, its members will help shape how the brand looks.
“Working with BADBERRIES meant I could bring my whole vision for Get Sh*t Done to life, complexity and all. They understood that this was never just about how the brand looks, but what it could enable. They’ve created something the community can genuinely be part of. And to me, that’s exactly what Get Sh*t Done is about.”
